Pride Walk 2024

On July 20 2024, Queer Amsterdam is organising the Pride Walk in collaboration with the (Dutch) Homomonument (Gay Monument).
Since 2012
It may seem like it, due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the recent 2023 developments. Yet the Pride Walk is not something of recent years. The first edition of the Pride Walk in Amsterdam took place in 2012. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it was decided not to go ahead with the 2020 edition.
Since 2023, Queer Amsterdam has been responsible for organising the first part of Pride Amsterdam. This includes the Pride Walk. Do not confuse this event with the Pride March, which will be organised by Pride Amsterdam for the first time in 2024. Pride Amsterdam is the organisation that organises the latter part of Pride Amsterdam. This is then the more conservative part of Pride. Queer Amsterdam may be regarded as the part that mainly draws attention to social issues at play. So together they have been organising Pride Amsterdam since 2023.
Other Dutch cities
In addition to Amsterdam, similar events are now taking place in other cities. Where possible, Artigenda will mention them on the website. Other cities that now have similar events are Eindhoven, The Hague, Rotterdam and Zwolle.
The Pride Walk will also be organised this year, as in 2023, in cooperation with the Homomonument in Amsterdam (Gay Monument). The route will also start from there. The route will end at the Museumplein.
