International Day of Clean Air for Blue Skies
When: anually, September 7.
The annual moment to think about clean air shouldn’t be limited to just one day. Still, there is the International Day of Clean Air for Blue Skies. It’s a moment to think and, perhaps, act. Because it’s time!
Reason
That the day was introduced by the United Nations in 2020 shows that special or special days are introduced at any time. No long history needs to precede it. The International Clean Air Day is a new day and it has a good reason. The need to bring about change and is what the people’s organisation wants to achieve through this day of awareness.
As is the case for every special day introduced by the UN, a website is available on the subject. On it, you can read more about the most current theme applicable for the year in question. The website can be found here.
Resolution 74/212
This day was the result of United Nations Resolution 74/212, debated on 19 December 2019.
